What's The Real Deal On The TNBC Vaccine?
Black women with TNBC are 28% more likely to die than white women who received the same diagnosis. 40% of TNBC patients are under the age of 40. Breast density is more strongly associated with TNBC than other subtypes. TNBC is more likely to come back than other breast cancer types and subtypes--about 40% of people with stage 1 to 3 TNBC will experience a recurrence after treatment. TNBC is the most common type of breast cancer in patients who have BRCA1 mutations. Though some progress is being made, TNBC has the least treatment options.

Judy appeared on The Doctor Is In with Jennifer Davis, the first patient in the world to receive the vaccine. She opted to receive the vaccine after completing her treatment for TNBC to prevent recurrence. Dr. Justin Johnson also joined us to explain the vaccine. Our goal was to recruit women of color for the trial.
